WorldPride

Square

 By Steve Taylor

In the shadow of Copenhagen’s magnificent city hall, where the world’s first civil partnership took place in 1989, you’ll find WorldPride Square. It’s a focal point and hub for activities throughout WorldPride and EuroGames.

WorldPride Square – or Rådhuspladsen to give its Danish name – is the regular setting for Copenhagen Pride but this year it looks rather different. It’s a place to meet with friends, relax over some great food and drink, and enjoy the activities we’re organising there.

Food and drink
In partnership with Mad og Marked we’ve got some amazing streetfood vendors serving a range of delicious food at very reasonable prices. You can support us by purchasing drinks from our bars located in WorldPride Square. We’ve got soft drinks, beer, wine, and cider from our partner Somersby. And there are special deals if you’re wearing our official support wristband.

Things to see
International advocacy organisation All Out have the first physical presentation of the winners of their photography competition, with the theme of resisting, supporting and healing and focusing on the experiences of LGBTI+ people during the pandemic.
We have a pop-up studio where we’ll be creating original content, and a big screen where you can watch what’s happening at other venues across both cities.

Rainbow merch
And make sure to visit our official partner hummel to buy their official Copenhagen 2021 products, and swing by our merchandise and information point too. You’ll also find booths from our supporters including publisher of this Guide, Pride Life Global, and 7eleven retail.
